The green belt, or second stage, is all about free-flowing muvements and technique. Students begin to flow one technique into another.
Green belt Kata reinforce the idea of flowing technique as they embody a more fluid shape and character.
Randori (free Sparring) becomes much more important as a green belt. Again, free-flowing techniques and muvements are developed and the student is encouraged to experiment with a variety of combinations of technics in a soft and controlled fashion. The safe distance and respect for one's partner is all wise critical. It is a non contact Martial Art,where we learn to controll ouer technics. We want to train and grow, not be injured!
